A group of Stirling students have organised a day of fundraising for Dragonfly Heart Camp in the atrium on Friday.
Dragonfly Heart Camp promote the welfare of children and young adults who have endured heart transplants by organising group retreats and weekends away.
Students can come along to the atrium between 10-5 to raise money for a great cause and learn more about the charity.
There will be free Domino’s Pizza on offer from 1pm, live entertainment from Fubar DJ Jonny Ruiz and much more. There will also be free entry to Fubar that evening for everyone who donates.
Tombola prizes on offer include free cinema tickets, a VIP Package at Fubar, a £10 Clive Ramsay voucher and a £15 iTunes voucher.
The event has been organised by Jed MacKinnon, who discovered the charity whilst working at Camp America in Maryland, USA.
Jed told Brig: “It’s ultimately to raise awareness for students and staff of the University of Stirling about the charity and to promote the university around Stirling, its surrounding areas and even on an international level. The plan for the day is people can come along at any point to learn more about the charity.
“We will have 2 stalls in the atrium, so one will be for the tombola table and the other will be information about the charity. We hope to get students away from their stress of exams for a while to learn some more and hopefully win something cool!”
