2015 has been far and away The Courteeners most successful year to date, highlighted by their landmark show at Manchester’s Heaton Park. To round off the year, they are embarking on a seventeen date UK tour – which includes an unprecedented seven nights at the O2 Apollo in Manchester – as well as releasing a new, extended version of their 2014 smash album Concrete Love this Friday.
Winter Wonderland, the lead single from the extended version, dubbed Concrete Love – Extra Love, sees the quartet team up once again with producer Stephen Street who produced the band’s 2008 debut album St Jude, and the song has been garnering added coverage for all the right reasons. First and foremost, it is a charity single, with all proceeds going towards Shelter. It has been described as “an intimate, slice of life lyric sat in the heart of a glorious, majestic Christmas song – soaring, seasonal and seemingly custom build for sold-out shows”.
Concrete Love – Extra Love will be available across all formats on the 27th November, and The Courteeners play the O2 Academy in Glasgow on Sunday 29th November.
