By Jamie Harris
Awards season is upon us once again and nominations are starting to pour out, finally allowing for front-runners and favourites to be identified. There is a long way to the finish line with the Oscars not until February 28th.
Leading the nominations for this year’s Golden Globes film categories is Carol with five nominations, including Best Motion Picture – Drama. The television categories remain much more wide open with shows including Mr. Robot and Outlander receiving three nominations each.
Largely based upon personal taste (as well as hype for quite a few of the films on this list that have not yet been released over here) I’m going to attempt to predict this year’s winners.
To keep things simple my predictions will be the choice in bold.
Last year I was miles out on half the categories so here goes nothing…
