Let it Snow! The Gannochy’s 3K festive fun run has officially opened for registration, and will take place on December 1.

The race will be a 3K race, with prizes for the best fancy dress and a Christmas karaoke at the start.

The route takes in the beautiful, frosty surroundings of the University of Stirling, starting at the Gannochy Sports Centre and making a loop around the Airthrey Loch.

Don’t worry if you haven’t got a Santa costume lying around – all runners will get a free Santa hat to keep their heads warm.

Kelli Cochran-Sharp, Graduate Fitness Officer and organiser of the event, said: “The festive 3K fun run is a great opportunity for students and staff to get active.

“Whether running, jogging or even walking! The event is focused on participation and is aimed at all levels, so get involved and enjoy the festive atmosphere.”

Register at the Gannochy Sports Centre reception, and will be open until 11.30am on race day. The race will start at 12.30pm, and finish at 1.30pm.

The deadline has been extended from the original November 25 closing date, and the organisers are expecting over 200 runners to take part.
