Steal that trend: Embroidery

Embroidery has been the key trend this season and it’s easy to see why. Designers like Gucci and Valentino have been owning this trend with gorgeous embroidered jackets and jeans.

With the popularity of this trend, the high street has latched on to it with both arms and they are nailing it. You can pick up amazing items from shops like New Look, H&M and Topshop, who all have everything from jeans, leather jackets, denim jackets and bags if you just want something subtle.

With Valentine’s Day coming up I thought this would be an amazing trend to create a romantic vibe to a casual day outfit. Whether you are spending it with your loved one or just spending the day with friends, this outfit will get you through – especially since the weather has been a bit cold recently.

If you read my last article you will know that I love my layers and I am back at it again with this outfit because it adds so much dimension to your look.

Steal that look – night or day

The embroidered item that I went for were these beautiful floral embroidered jeans from Topshop – the embroidery is the perfect way to add a little bit of colour to an otherwise monochromatic outfit.

With the amount of colours adapted into the floral pattern you can easily find accessories to match. I went with a more neutral option with this ash-brown bag to match the flower stalks on the jeans, but of course you can go for more of a colourful option. Add some black boots and a pom-pom hat  if it’s cold – you’re set for your day time look.

If you want to transition this into more of a night time look, switch out the boots for some heels, and take off the jumper to show the crisp white shirt underneath, and add a statement necklace for an effortlessly glam look.

Steal that look – keep it comfy and casual

If you’re wanting to go for something a bit more subtle, then this outfit is perfect for you. The only embroidery you’ll see on this is in this statement bag from New Look that has pink floral details across the front.

This is a very casual outfit and is perfect for a cinema date because it’s not too warm for an indoor activity with this sleeveless coat and ripped denim. In my attempt to stay away from black boots, I opted for some white trainers, which is always a go-to when you want to be comfortable and equally stylish.

The embroidered bag adds the perfect amount of detail to this outfit without being too overwhelming, and I think this is the perfect outfit for whatever you are doing on V-Day.
