Calling all music lovers: Europa Music, Scotland’s largest vinyl record shop, is set to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Record Store Day by hosting a lineup of surprises in Stirling this Saturday.

Record Store Day is a global celebration where thousands of independent record shops, for one day only, sell limited edition vinyl records and feature live local bands for customers to enjoy while they browse.

It’s Europa Music’s biggest day of the year, where in previous years many have queued overnight for the chance to purchase some of the hundreds of one-off records on sale in the shop that day.

To commemorate the event, Europa Music will be featuring over 560 exclusive releases including David Bowie, Prince, Beatles and U2.

They will also be hosting live sets from various local bands at the shop’s front starting from 12 midday.
Bands confirmed are: rapper C R P N T R; punk band The Media Whores; rockabilly band Bad Boogaloo; rock band Corryvreckan; folk band Oxtered to the Bothy; bluesman Craig Hughes and rootsy pop band davesnewbike.
It seems excitement for the occasion is creeping through the streets of Stirling. Local businesses on Friars Street, where Europa Music is situated, Baker Street and Kings Street are putting on offers and events to support the day.
