It’s just one achievement after another for the University of Stirling as we have moved up four places on Guardian University Guide rankings for 2018 – making us 54th in the UK and 8th in Scotland overall.

This is an improvement from last year as the university has been successful in achieving higher scores with regards to student satisfaction in their courses and feedback. The university had been 58th in the UK last year and 9th in Scotland.

Subjects including Media and Film Studies as well as Social Policy have been rated 1st in Scotland and 6th in the UK.

This is following being placed 46th in the world and 2nd in the UK in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings.

The Guardian’s league tables focuses on the quality of teaching, student satisfaction and employability, issues that are crucial for young people choosing where they want to study.
