This summer Greene King, the country’s leading pub retailer and brewer, are bringing their ‘Live at Your Local’ competition to pubs across the UK, including Stirling’s very own Molly Malones.
They are hoping to find the hottest undiscovered artist in the U.K.
The competition is open to any unsigned musicians, and will see local artists compete in three heats – one has already taken place on June 12, followed by two others on June 19 and 26 before the final on July 3.
From there the next stage is the national final, which will see artists from all over the country compete.
Molly Malones said it will give people the opportunity to “get yourself known on the Stirling music scene and most importantly have great craic in the process!”. Not only that but the winner of the nationwide final, which will take place at the O2 Indigo in London, will win £5000 and a studio recording session.
It promises to be a great opportunity for unsigned local performers to have their music heard.
