Fire services were called to Stirling city centre after a fire broke out in a flat above King’s Barber Shop on Murray Place. Police have closed the surrounding roads and the public have been cleared from the area to allow the fire crews to work.
Firefighters were called to fire at 6.15pm, and at least eight fire crews have been reported at the scene. Police Scotland are still advising that the public avoid the area.

The Alloa Advertiser has reported that firefighters were seen entering the building, and that it is unknown whether or not anybody was inside when the fire broke out.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has issued a statement saying that fire crews are currently dealing with the fire.
