The Loch Lomond Walk of Hope is scheduled to take place on Saturday 29th September in aid of Brain Tumor Research.

The event will start with a meeting at Balmaha at 9.30am, with the 14-mile hike kicking off at 10.00am. The nearest post code provided for the meeting point is G63 0JQ.

“Take on a wee bit of the West Highland Way by joining the Loch Lomond Walk of Hope on Saturday 29th September in aid of Brain Tumor Research.” Says What’s on Stirling in regard to the event.

The route will follow along the Loch Lomond shores, up to the Rowardennan Hotel and back again. There will be a quick lunch break at the hotel where hikers can grab something to eat and have a little rest.

Registration for the event is at a fee of £10 and this includes a t-shirt and a Fighting Force medal for finishers. Families of 2 adults and up to 4 children can get a group ticket at £20 – again including t-shirts and finisher medals.

The event urges those who take part to arrive early in order to get parked and set up in time.

“Please be aware the parking spaces at each of the points below can fill up so it is best to get there early.” Says braintumourresearch.org

Furthermore, people should prepare for the hefty walk ahead, dressing appropriately and anticipating the Scottish weather.

“Please remember to bring sturdy shoes and suitable clothing. It’s always a good idea to bring a waterproof in case of rain and water to keep yourself hydrated.” Braintumourresearch.org continues.
