Jack has now been found and his family have been informed

Police Scotland are appealing for information after a teenager has been reported missing after a visit to the MacRobert Art Centre on the night of Friday 21 December.

18-year-old Jack Martin was visiting the MacRobert Art Centre with family when he went to use the bathroom during an interval break and was last seen by his family around 8:45pm.

Jack was last reported wearing a white and purple shirt under a navy hooded jacket, has dark hair and wears glasses.

Jack has autism and police are concerned as he has trouble with his speech and may present younger than his physical age.

Jack and his family live in Callander and he has still not returned home.

Police Scotland are searching around the university and believe that it is possible Jack could have walked to the city centre or towards Callendar. Both police and Jack’s family are concerned for Jack’s safety.

Inspector Steven Hoggan from Falkirk Police station says “Jack is extremely vulnerable and his family are becoming increasingly concerned for his wellbeing. We have a number of police resources around the University searching for him. It is possibly he may have wandered off on foot towards the City Centre or in the Callander direction.”

Jack’s mum Julie said; “We all just want him home safely. This has been a very long night for all of us and we’re just hoping he be home today.”

Any members of the public that have seen Jack or have information on his whereabouts are urged to contact Police using 101 and quoting incident number 4263 of the 21st December 2018.

Stirling Police and Forth Valley Police Division continue to post updates on their social media as the search continues.
