Police release image of sexual assault suspect

The image of a man who is wanted for questioning regarding a sexual assault has been released by British Transport Police.

The incident happened on board an Edinburgh-Stirling train on March 20, between 10:40pm and 11:25pm.

BTP want to question the man after a woman was the victim of a prolonged sexual assault on board the Edinburgh Park to Dunblane service.

The man is alleged to have sat next to a woman on board the train and engaged her in small talk. He then blocked her in her seat and sexually assaulted her, when both of them left the train at Stirling he reportedly followed her through the station and continued to inappropriately touch her.

BTP issued a statement in March stating that they “would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the offence or who knows the identity of the man.”

The description released in March described the man as white, with a slim to medium build, with short dark hair and wearing a green jacket and chinos.
