£70k worth of heroin and firearm seized in Stirling

A woman has been charged and has appeared at Stirling Sheriff Court

Police in Stirling have located and seized Class A drugs with an estimated street value of £70,000 after a raid on a property in the St Ninians area of the city.

A proactive police operation received intelligence and searched a property on William Booth Place, where officers recovered heroin with a large street value and a firearm.

Officers have arrested and charged a 47-year-old woman in connection with the seizure of the drugs and firearm. She appeared at Stirling Sheriff Court on Thursday June 13.

Detective Inspector Stuart Brodie of Fort Valley Proactive CID said: “As part of a proactive policing operation, officers have recovered a significant amount of drugs and removed a firearm from circulation.”

Brodie highlighted the continued work of Police Scotland to target this type of crime.

“We will continue to work proactively with our colleagues across Scotland to target those intent on causing harm to our communities.”
