CLUBS and Societies are coming together to arrange a week of events to send help to the people who have been affected by the wildfires in Australia.
The Marine Conservation Society have arranged a series of events over a week. “Aussie Week” will have events such as pub quizzes, stalls, arts and crafts and other activities.
The week of activities will take place from February 3 to February 9. Other societies such as Rock and Metal, Gaming society, Uni Boob Team and the Pool society have already signed up to take part in the week of action.
The president of UBT, Emily Hencher posted online about Aussie Week, “This week of action is set to be the best collaboration event I’ve seen in my four years at Stirling. Everyone is so invested in helping Australia and it’s heartwarming to see.
Anyone can join in, it’s so inclusive and thanks to Marine Conservation it’s been easy to involve at least 10 societies and have a strong plan within a matter of weeks.”
VP Communities Josh Muirhead said, “I couldn’t be more proud of our amazing societies who have been busy planning this for weeks now and they can finally announce that Aussie Action Week will be happening February 3rd-9th!
“The week will be filled with activities for everyone to be a part of. From coffee mornings to sports sessions, craft workshops to pub quizzes, 24hr gaming sessions to a club night! There really will be something for everyone! Come along and be part of what will be an amazing week, a real opportunity to help make a difference in different ways.
