Bathgate has once again been put on the map by a musical genius. No, it’s not Lewis Capaldi, it’s time for a new rising star.
Luke La Volpe took to the stage in front of a sold out crowd in The Mash House, Edinburgh last Saturday night.
Situated in the centre of the Cowgate, the audience waited with anticipation for the 23 year old singer.
Bursting onto the stage, Luke and his band encouraged the crowd to dance and celebrate with him as he cracked open a can of tennents. His cheeky Scottish charm and laugh was infectious, he held the crowd in the palm of his hands making a 250 capacity venue feel like an ocean of people at a festival.

Having previously supported fellow scottish star, Gerry Cinnamon, and his friend Capaldi, it’s fair to say that Luke La Volpe won’t be far behind them on his way to stardom.
Belting out his songs, it was effortless for the West Lothian boy.
Can’t Seem to Get Enough echoed through the streets of the capital, and the audience certainly couldn’t get enough.
The show continued with a variety of hits, including Nightmare of the Streets and Dancing with Shadows, which you can find on Spotify. However, there were a few surprises on the setlist which were greeted with chants of “Ohhh Luke La Volpe!”.
Dances were shared, hugs exchanged and tears shed. A very impressive performance, and a name to watch in the not so distant future.
Luke La Volpe will be taking to the stage at this years TRNSMT festival on Friday, July 10.
