1 min read

Several shops in Stirling have been flooded and drains overflowing following heavy rain.

Aisles in Tesco have been flooded and the roof of the Raploch Sainsburys has been leaking water.

A video posted to twitter showed a stream of water flowing down King Street past the Golden Lion Hotel.

The heavy rain follows the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning of rain and thunderstorms for Stirling that is in place till Monday afternoon. There is also a flood warning in place for Stirling.

At the same time last year Stirling was hit by flash floods that damaged university buildings and several local businesses.
