Meghan and Harry sign Netflix deal

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have signed a deal with Netflix to create a range of content including documentaries for the streaming platform.

Meghan Markle is no stranger to television and the big screen having previously starred in the american legal series “Suits” and a cameo in the 2011 film “Horrible Bosses”.

Meghan and Harry want to create content “that informs but also gives hope.”

Meghan and Harry are not the first celebrity couple to sign a deal with the streaming company. The former President of the United States and the former First Lady, Barack and Michelle Obama, have also signed a deal with Netflix and helped produce the documentary “Crip Camp”.

Commenting on the announcement, the couple said:

“Our lives, both independent of each other and as a couple, have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: of courage, resilience and the need for connection,”

Ted Sarandos, who is the chief content officer and co -chief executive said: “We’re incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere.'”
