A walk-in coronavirus testing centre will be opened at Stirling University next month.
It comes after the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon revealed yesterday that the testing facility at the university will be up and running by Monday 5 October.
Stirling University have now confirmed three students have tested positive for coronavirus.
The first positive case on campus is from last Friday, but that student was not in any contact with any other student of staff, and went into self-isolation immediately.
A spokewomen for Stirling University said: “We can confirm that three of our students have tested positive for Covid-19.
“The cases are not linked and initial NHS findings suggest that in all cases the virus was contracted outwith the university and there is no wider risk to the university community.”
