Parts of Dumbarton Road were cordoned off today due to a fire that started in the restaurant kitchen of Indian Cottage.

The situation began at 11:35am when a call was made to an emergency line, according to Police Scotland. Three fire-trucks were on scene to combat the fire.

The immediate building was evacuated, and police officers assisted in shutting off all traffic from 1 – 39 Dumbarton Road to allow firemen to defuse the situation.
