All pubs and restaurants across the central belt of Scotland have been ordered to close from Friday onwards aimed at tackling the increase in coronavirus cases.
The new restrictions will come into place from Friday at 6pm and they will last until 25 October.
The areas affected include Great Glasgow and Clyde, Ayrshire and Arran, Lanarkshire, Forth Valley, and Edinburgh.
In other areas around Scotland, pubs and restaurants will remain open but, alcohol will only be served outdoors.
This comes after Scotland recorded more than 1,000 Covid-19 cases in a day for the first time.
Takeaways will still be permitted.
