Stirling University Women’s Hockey Club (SUWHC) is once again promoting mental health awareness with the Green Ribbon Campaign.
From Saturday October 10th to Friday October 16th SUWHC will be selling green ribbons – the international symbol for mental health awareness. Those who wear the ribbon will be supporting and raising funds for the cause.
The campaign was launched by SUWHC Welfare Officer Georgie Frost and PR Manager Jess Hurley, who said, “We launched to promote mental health awareness by raising money for SAMH (the Scottish Association for Mental Health) and the idea is £1 a ribbon which represents the cause.”
More importantly, Georgie and Jess highlighted the importance of mental health awareness particularly over recent months, “Mental health is so important right now especially with everything going on so this will hopefully get people talking.”
At times like these mental health is more important than ever and the SUWHC want to get people talking.
