The four-piece promising band have released their third tune I Don’t Care, making the start of lockdown a bit more endurable!
Jude Curran (bass), Keira McGuire (vocals/guitar), Emily Downie (vocals/guitar), and Alex White (drums) are already the cover of Spotify’s We Are Glasgow and Hot New Bands.
The song has rocketed to success despite being out for less than 24 hours and has had over 5,000 streams so far.
Speaking to Dork, Keira says: “It feels like a pure, coming-of-age song, like it could be in a movie.” This sums up the tune, which has a great build-up to the chorus before belting out the lyrics from the title!
The vocals and melody in this song completely fit. The drums and guitars go so well as an instrumental before breaking into the catchy chorus for one last time.
Their debut single Otherside has nearly 424,000 streams, so the new release having such an impact so fast is no surprise.
Anyone can relate to their lyrics while also having a boogie to their indie-pop hits – so it’s a win-win!
The young band have already had amazing achievements – cut short due to the pandemic. However, that gives them more to look forward to as they prepare to perform at TRNSMT next summer, among many other festivals and support slots.
