A Christmas Poem

1 min read

Social bubbles and shiny baubles,
Early Christmas tree decorating for something to do, some feeling better and some feeling blue.
A different Christmas has come around this year.

But look at all things that have stayed the same:
Days aren’t getting any dryer; soft snow and sleet,
Red noses, numb hands and cold feet.

Seasonal songs getting stuck in your head,
The icy mornings, hot drinks cuddled up in bed.
So, let’s wrap the worries away tightly in red ribbon,
And think about what we’ve got and not what we’re missing.
