Firewater, on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street, has become the first venue in the UK to install Subcool’s UV Air Filtration system. This system is said to kill COVID-19.
Firewater, like many nightclubs and music venues across Scotland, has been largely impacted due to the pandemic.
With having to open with difficult restrictions to then close for long periods of time, it is clear that they are preparing now so that they are able to welcome customers back into a safe environment as soon as they can.
On October 6, Firewater wrote an open letter to First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, making their thoughts and feelings on the restrictions clear and well-put. This gave a voice to hospitality sectors all across the country.
To make up for any finances lost, Firewater have tried their best to keep up virtual quizzes and their online service, ‘FW2GO’, which offers food and drink deliveries.
From customer safety to staff pay, Firewater is known for being a Living Wage Employer. Their famous Thursday nights are sorely missed.
