Rangers have launched an internal investigation over fears up to four players attended a house party in Glasgow on Saturday night, following their 1-0 win over Kilmarnock.
The club released a statement on Sunday night after accusations emerged of some players having breached the lockdown restrictions.
It read: “Rangers are aware of an alleged incident which is subject to an internal investigation. We will make no further comment.”
This is now the second case of guideline breaches at the club this season. Jordan Jones and George Edmundson were handed suspensions for attending a house party in November.
Josh Warrington stunned in shock defeat to Mauricio Lara
Former IBF featherweight champion Josh Warrington suffered a brutal loss to 22-year old Mexican, Mauricio Lara, on Saturday night.
The Leeds fighter was knocked down heavily in the fourth round, before referee Howard Foster called an end to the fight in round nine, as Warrington required oxygen following a devastating one-two.
Warrington, who was unbeaten, vacated his title before the fight in order to avoid rematching mandatory challenger Kid Galahad.
Instead, Warrington had ambitions to pursue bigger fights, with a likely bout against either Xu Can or Gary Russell Jr. to follow the fight with the lightly-regarded Mexican.
Daniel Berger wins fourth PGA Tour title at Pebble Beach
Daniel Berger continued his impressive rise in the world rankings, after Sunday’s victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
The American nailed a 31-foot eagle putt on the 72nd hole to secure the win with a two-shot lead. Berger now sits 10th in the FedExCup standings and 13th in the world rankings.
The 27-year olds’ triumph is the fourth in his PGA Tour career, and his second since the PGA Tour’s COVID-19 return. The Charles Schwab Challenge in June 2020 was previously his most recent win.
Fellow American Maverick McNealy finished second, with a resurgent Jordan Speith one shot behind in tied third with Patrick Cantlay.
Novak Djokovic battles injury to record 300th grand slam win
World number one Novak Djokovic moved into the Australian Open quarter-finals as he overcame injury concerns to beat Milos Raonic in four sets.
The Serbian, who picked up an abdominal injury in Fridays win over American Taylor Fritz, will face sixth seed Alexander Zverev following his victory over Dusan Lajovic.
Eight-time Australian Open champion Djokovic said: “In any other tournament than a Grand Slam I would have retired from the event, but because it’s a Grand Slam I wanted to give my best.”
Despite uncertainty surrounding his availability to play Sunday night’s match, Djokovic became only the second player in history to reach 300 Grand Slam wins. Roger Federer currently has 362.
