Indoor visiting to begin on Monday

At the coronavirus briefing today it was announced indoor visiting rules will be relaxed on Monday.

From Monday six people from three different households will be allowed to meet in each other’s homes.

Along with this it was announced it is no longer necessary to maintain physical distance but, physical distancing will still apply away from home and private gardens.

The First Minister Nicola Sturgeon also confirmed pubs, cafes, and restaurants will be allowed to serve alcohol indoors until 10.30pm.

While bingo halls, cinemas, and arcades will also be allowed to reopen.

Nicola Sturgeon also said mainland Scotland would move down to level two restrictions on 17 May. But, it is likely Moray will remain in level three coronavirus restrictions.

On the same day, most of the Scottish islands will move to level one restrictions as well.

At the briefing Nicola Sturgeon said:
“We must all continue to be careful, responsible and vigilant,”.
