A FLOOD alert has been issued to the Stirling Council area amid expected heavy rain.
Forecasters have placed a yellow weather warning in anticipation for continuous downpours.
They anticipate the warning will remain in place until Saturday, though say the heaviest rainfall is anticipated to be from this afternoon (Thursday) and continue through the whole of Friday.
Localised flooding is expected as a result, with rivers and small watercourses set to rise in the coming days.
Travellers are urged to take caution when out on the roads with surface water set to cause disruption.
The Council have revealed that pallets of sandbags will be stationed outside the gates of Callander and Springkerse roads depots, in case of emergency.
