Stirling Coffee has opened its first physical shop this week after two months of preparation.

David McDonald, 35, is the owner of Stirling Coffee. His journey started after he graduated from Dundee University and returned to his hometown to open The Burgh Coffeehouse in 2009.

He started roasting beans in 2019 and the business has grown ever since.

“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do,” says David.

“Our coffee is roasted to order and has a minimum score of 83/100 on the SCA (Speciality Coffee Association) grading scale.

We have been massive online since 2019. This is our first in person store, so our brand is drifting into physical retail.

We’ve had a digital base since the start, so this is a new take on physical space. We want to replicate our online success physically and bring digital energy to physical retail.

We offer free delivery online over £15 and now can offer a free click and collect service for here in the shop.

We are pumped up for Black Friday. We have a mega bundle at a great price to offer.”

The shop has a small team of passionate and friendly experts, ready to answer any questions you may have.

Stirling Coffee employee Hannah Coyle said: “Having our customers enjoying our coffee in their own homes is really important.”

The shop offers coffee syrups in multiple flavours, including caramel, vanilla, hazelnut and gingerbread (perfect for Christmas!). They also sell oat milk, filters, v60, teapots and a selection of teas.

Stirling Coffee is Stirling through and through. Its wolf logo takes root in the old story of a wolf pack defending the city from a Viking Invasion.

The shop is beautiful, with stained glass above the door and a welcoming branded rug.

As of next week, the shop will be selling takeaway coffee. The team is also working on creating a gallery for artists to sell their work.

Stirling Coffee is open 11am to 3pm every day.

More information can be found on their website, Instagram and Facebook.
