The ultimate easy halloumi pasta

This easy halloumi pasta recipe is perfect for students. With only a few ingredients and easy instructions, spicing up that student staple has never been simpler.


  • One block of halloumi
  • One red pepper
  • 56g of penne pasta (or any pasta you prefer)
  • One carton of passata
  • Dried basil
  • Dried oregano
  • Black pepper


  1. Slowly heat passata on the stove, adding dried basil and oregano to your liking
  2. Add black pepper to your liking (lots trust me)
  3. Boil pasta with salt until cooked
  4. While boiling pasta, chop halloumi and pepper into 1 inch cubes
  5. Fry the halloumi until almost cooked before adding the chopped red pepper into the same pan. Fry until soft.
  6. Take passata sauce off the heat and mix in fried halloumi and pepper
  7. Add pasta when cooked and mix well
  8. Add fresh herbs if you’re feeling fancy and serve
