Why Emma Chamberlain is the GOAT of Gen-Z

3 mins read

If you don’t know who Emma Chamberlain is, you’ve either been living under a rock or are lying to yourself.

The 20-year-old from California has gone above and beyond for someone so young. For me, Emma Chamberlain is my number one role model. The millionaire high school dropout seems to have done it all.

From her gaining over a billion views on YouTube to her partnerships with Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein there’s nothing this “it girl” can’t do.

The influencer’s successful podcast Anything Goes has been going since the beginning of 2020. Emma has her own unique way of producing this from the comfort of her own bed. The show has over 100 episodes which show she’s clearly getting something right.

But why do so many fans keep going back for more? For me listening to the Anything Goes podcast is like getting advice from a big sister I never had.

Emma always nails the relatable content and here’s why. In her YouTube videos and podcast, she’s always showing off acne scars and highlighting the seemingly boring and mundane moments of her life.

I love this as normally other influencers tend to glamorize their lives with unauthentic content which has been prepared in advance to make them look as good as possible. Extremely edited content can lead us to feeling insecure, making us aim for these unrealistic expectations of our own lives.

The normality of her content helps me and others feel more comfortable within themselves and not feel so alone in our everyday struggles. Her podcast speaks a lot about being able to thrive in your own company and really find out who you are.

Anything does go with Emma Chamberlain.

We can’t forget iced coffees are a staple for Chamberlain. Since the beginning of her career, she has been extremely open about her obsession with coffee. Many of her famous ‘day in the life’ videos start at her Nespresso machine and a cup of ice.

Emma loves coffee so much that she launched her own company in 2019. It was one of the YouTuber’s most unexpected yet perfectly on-brand announcements. Her online shop delivers ready to use coffee with a variety of blends. She has recently launched her own matcha and hot chocolate if coffee is not your drink of choice.

From humble beginnings to becoming one of the most fashionable businesswomen of this generation, there’s no wonder as to why myself and others look up to Emma Chamberlain so much. And now you too can see why.
