Students reminded to complete Scotland’s Census

1 min read

Scotland’s Census is currently underway.

It takes place every ten years, documenting Scotland’s people.

Those who do not complete it before Sunday 20 March will be fined.

Residents assistants are currently handing out letters to students in university managed accommodation, detailing their internet access codes.

The codes will allow students to complete their census in private.

Students in privately rented accommodation should have already received their access codes in the post.

The census will ask a few questions about you and your household, and can be completed online.

The information gathered will be used to decide how money is spent on roads, schools and hospitals.

New questions introduced for 2022 include asking about trans status and sexual orientation.

All responses submitted are confidential.
