Poetry Corner: A Songbirds Sonnet

1 min read

I miss you my lover
I miss you my dear
When we’re under the cover
The end could never be near

You cure my ills
You soothe my sores
I’ll pay all our bills
I love you more and more

I hope not to lose this
Am I yours? Are you mine?
You complete me with a kiss
Hold me darling and we’ll be fine

You make me giddy like a kid out to play
Blue eyes like ethereal pools, let me lay, let me lay.
