In another unexpected twist from the acclaimed songwriter, Taylor Swift is set to direct her debut feature film for Searchlight Pictures.

The announcement comes just over a month after her record-breaking 10th studio album Midnights, which racked up 228 mil. Spotify streams in its first day & won the Peoples Choice Award for Favourite Album & over a year after she released her short-film, All Too Well (The Short Film) which won Favourite Music Video at the American Music Awards and Best Longform Video at the VMA’s.

She follows in the footsteps of other great names in music such as Fred Durst, Frank Zappa, Neil Young & Bob Dylan.

The project title and plot are currently being kept under wraps, however, the script is an original work by Swift herself.

Taylor Nation announced the news on their Twitter page.

“I promise that you’ll never find another like me!”. No, we won’t, Taylor. No, we won’t because you are truly a mastermind.
