After a long three-year wait, Arcane fans finally have some new content in the form of a teaser followed quickly by a teaser trailer. Arcane season two will drop on Netflix in November 2024. However, while the November release will conclude Jinx and Vi’s story, it doesn’t close the door for more League of Legends projects.
Fans had spent the three-year wait speculating what could come next and how much of the League of Legends game lore creators would use for the show. Well, they have certainly followed some of it, such as Vi’s new path in Piltover.
The trailer shows a time skip from where Arcane season one left off. The council are dead, Vi is an enforcer (possibly even the sheriff) and Jinx has taken over Silco’s place as leader of Zaun. Jinx has also become a number one target of Piltover. A strike team led by Caitlyn has orders to “locate Jinx, dismantle shimmer, and neutralize any agents still loyal to Silco”.

Vi seems to have accepted the fact that her sister, Powder, is gone and Jinx is what remains. We see the two rush into battle against each other in the trailer. Sadly, Vi’s new perspective of Jinx doesn’t leave much hope for a happy ending. Ella Purnell, Jinx’s voice actor, said in an interview that “nobody will feel good after watching it [season two]”. She also mentioned that “it’s devastating”.
Some characters (such as Jayce and Mel) are noticeably missing from this trailer. Fans are wondering if this means that the entire council are actually dead as the trailer states.
The trailer showcased some amazing animation and voice acting with a dramatic soundtrack that left viewers pumped up for the release of Arcane’s final chapter. It’s sure to be a bone-chilling overwhelming journey of emotion as we hurtle towards the conclusion, and fans cannot wait to see it.
