In anticipation of the long awaited movie adaptation of beloved Broadway & West End musical Wicked, Universal have sent out promotional packs welcoming ‘students’ to the fictional Shiz University.
Included in packs are a pin, welcome packet with a signed letter by Madame Morrible, a brochure and map, The Shiz Gazette, ink pen, enamel pin and a Shiz sweatshirt.
However, there’s a catch. Only US fans were eligible for the shipped goodies, and it appears that mainly influencers received them.
Instead, most fans worldwide who registered to a special link back in May will have been sent an email with a digital welcome pack instead. This only includes the brochure and map.
Promotion for the film has heightened as it’s November 22, 2024 release date edges closer. Brand deals include H&M, Build-A-Bear, LEGO & Lush.
