Do you love crime, or rather crime stories? Perhaps you are studying criminology, English or are a faithful member of the true crime society. In that case, you’ll want to know that students of the University of Stirling can get free tickets to selected events at this year’s Bloody Scotland – Scotland’s international crime writing festival.
This year’s line-up features authors at the top of their game, including Sir Ian Rankin, Jo Nesbo and Kathy Reichs. There is also a number of authors and celebrities branching out into the genre who will be talking about their new books, such as Steph McGovern, Adam Kay and Judy Murray. Taking place across different venues in Stirling, Bloody Scotland is on from the 12th to the 14th of September.
Tickets to these events on Friday the 12th will be free for Stirling students :
- Friday 12.30pm at the Golden Lion – Remote & Risky – C.B. Everett, Eliza Reid & Mark Edwards
- Friday 2pm at the Albert Halls – Original Sins – Ruth Ware, Abigail Dean & Erin Kelly
- Friday 3.30pm at the Golden Lion – History and Her Story – Laura Shepherd-Robinson, Beth Lewis & Shylashri Shankar
- Friday 3.30pm at the Holy Trinity Church – Harsh Environments – Harry Whitehead, Michael Cordy & Eve Smith
- Friday 8.30pm at the Holy Trinity Church – Life and Death on the Edge – William Shaw, Chris Chibnall & GD Wright
Tickets to these events on Saturday the 13th will also be free :
- Saturday 5.30pm – Holy Trinity Church – Sins of the Past – Rob Parker & Pat Black
- Saturday 5.30pm – Holy Trinity Church – Stars and Stripes and Smalltown Slayings – Rod Reynolds, Vaseem Khan & Anna Bailey
To get access to these tickets, send an email from your student account to tim.donald@brownleedonald.com specifying what event it is you would like to attend. Complimentary tickets can then be sent to you directly.
As well as free tickets for these selected events, a 10 per cent discount to all of the events is available to those who live in the Stirling Council area. Make sure you give your address at the time of booking to benefit from this.
