The University of Stirling’s Taekwondo Club took part in their second competition as a club, coming away with nine medals.
The British University Taekwondo League (BUTL) World Championships took place in Leicester. It is one of the most prestigious student-based martial arts competitions.
Stirling sent nine athletes to compete with a total of almost 1,000 students partaking from over 60 different countries.
Stirling’s two gold medals came from Eilidh and Emily who both placed first in ITF Sparring.
Ben won a silver medal for Black Belt ITF Patterns. Both Blake and Seumas came second in ITF Sparring.
Hope came away with two bronze medals, one for Black Belt ITF Sparring and another for Black Belt ITF Patterns. Will also went home with two bronze medals, one in Black Belt WT Patterns and a second in Black Belt WT Sparring.
Maddy, Adler, and Emily also put in an incredible effort, and the club is proud to have had everyone represent them.
