Fubar Introduces New Alcohol-Free Menu, Including Free Non-Alcohol Beer for Drivers

3 mins read

Fubar has introduced a brand new alcohol-free menu this week, alongside an October deal: designated drivers can pick up a free bottle of Corona Cero by showing their car keys.

The menu features £5 Mocktails, £4 0.0% Spirits, £4 0.0% bottles, and “Health is Wealth” revival shots for £3.

Fubar is Stirling’s only nightclub after the closure of Dusk during Covid. Accessibility for students and locals is improved by the new menu, making Fubar a safer space for alcohol-free people to enter and enjoy the club, especially with the limited night-time venues in the city.

“All the girlies drinking cocktails without you? You’re covered with a variety of mocktails,” states @fubarnightclub on Instagram.

“Fubar remains a space where everyone – regardless of their drinking preferences – feels welcome”

Brig reached out to the nightclub for a comment on the new menu.

“We want to ensure that everyone, regardless of their drinking preferences, can have an enjoyable time at our venue without feeling left out,” Dave Thompson, Area Manager, told us.

“According to The Independent, 39% of younger generations are choosing not to drink alcohol at all, which highlights a growing demand for better non-alcoholic choices. After reviewing our current offerings, we recognised they were limited, and expanding our alcohol-free options was necessary. This move not only caters to the increasing number of people choosing not to drink but also helps us reinforce Fubar’s commitment to inclusivity.”

We asked about the reasoning behind the free Corona Cero for designated drivers initiative.

“There’s more to it than just safety. We’ve all been in that situation where you’re the designated driver, making the sacrifice for your friends. This is our way of saying, ‘Thank you for being responsible—enjoy a drink on us!’

By offering free non-alcoholic beer to designated drivers, we not only promote safety but also allow them to feel more included in the social aspect of a night out.”

Thompson told us that the response to the new menu had been fantastic. The positive feedback has been very encouraging as businesses navigate new trends of decreased alcohol consumption among young people. Health consciousness, the cost of living crisis, online socialisation, and sober movements such as Sober October and Dry January have become huge factors in young people’s decisions to drink alcohol, and as a result, they are drinking less than previous generations. It is refreshing and reassuring to see local businesses embrace these trends.

“By expanding our alcohol-free menu, we’re aligning with these trends and ensuring Fubar remains a space where everyone—regardless of their drinking preferences—feels welcome.”
