IGN has announced a new game based on the 1964 film Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
The adventure game adapted from the stop motion Christmas classic will be released later in the year, according to GamePress.
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer tells the all familiar story of the reindeer who comes into his own with his unique red nose. From the trailer, the game looks fun and whimsical, perfect for children and growing your Christmas spirit.
Players can play as characters Rudolph, Hermey, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius while they navigate icy caves, Santa’s workshop and the Island of Misfit Toys.
High Voltage Software, Glyphic Entertainment and Headless Chicken Games have been named as the developers. The game also allows local co-op.

While this announcement may seem early since it is July, developers must announce their games early to build demand and hype.
The game will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
