Callander Jazz and Blues Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary

The Callander Jazz and Blues Festival is running for its 20th year from the 2nd to the 5th of October.

Performances start at 6:00 pm on the 2nd of October at the Waverley Hotel with the Jazz Pack Band.

This year 66 gigs will perform across 10 venues from jazz, to swing to blues and rock. Up and coming artists and award winners will be performing. Xander and the Peace Pirates, the Mary May Quartet, Abigail Pryde and Main Street Blues to name a few.

Venues include The Crown Hotel, MacNabs, and Costa Coffee Callander as well as others.

Children can join in with the festival’s interactive band where they can drum, dance, conduct or join the band.

The festival was first held in 2006 and is solely run by volunteers. It is the largest jazz and blues festival in rural Scotland.

The festival is close to home with Callander being 16 miles from Stirling, and accessible by bus.
