Fletcher’s 78 Upper Graigs

Step into summer (despite the autumn rain) with Fletcher’s Flamingo Punch. A sweet pick, Smirnoff Miami Peach is fused with a mix of strawberry syrup, passionfruit puree and pineapple juice. The peach shines though with this one, a flavour that is not taken over by the mixers. Not a bitter sip in sight.

Colessio 33 Spital Street

The Colessio Hotel packs a punch with their Johnnie Walker Cooler. This tart cocktail combines Johnnie Walker Black Label Whiskey with apple, lime and mint for a sharp tang and a sweet aftertaste. Refreshing and light, the perfect drink for someone who likes something that’s a little more bitter.

Slanj-A-Va 9 Upper Craigs

Syrupy, orangey and smooth – Slanj’s Hurricane is another surgery option for those not a fan of bitters. The orange has a powerful kick and compliments the Captain Morgan Spiced Gold Rum well, creating a velvety cocktail with tropical finish.

Cronies Bar & Restaurant  Golden Lion Hotel, 8-10 Kings Street

Cronies’s Gold Lang Syne is a fantastic choice for a sweet tooth. With this sugary, syrupy option, peach liqueur meets an acid-adjusted pineapple – a combination that has you forgetting you are drinking alcohol. Pour the shot of grenadine in for a delicious candied- cherry finish.

Nooch Bar and Kitchen  44 Upper Craigs

It’s back to bitter with the Apple and Ginger Mojito at Nooch Bar. Captain Morgan White Rum is mixed with ginger beer, lime and apple juice and bitters for an acidic flavour. The alcohol has a stronger taste in this one – with a fiery sourness brought on by the peppery and warm ginger.
