NewDad, Irish indie rock band, took over Manchester Academy 2 last night, October 18, in a sell-out show, delivering a compelling and intimate set. This trio are quickly becoming some of the most exciting new voices on the scene.
Tomorrow night, October 20, the band will bring their charged energy and emotionally haunting vocals to Glasgow’s SWG3 TV Studio. Fans are hoping for another unforgettable show. Expect dramatic guitar waves and the hazy, melancholic atmosphere typical of indie shoegaze – a sound NewDad channels with striking depth.
NewDad have kicked off the UK leg of their tour, with support from Cardinals, across their 12 UK and Ireland shows. With a sold-out Manchester show under their belt, this must be a sign of good things to come.
NewDad are to play across the UK in the coming weeks with many tickets still available to purchase. Fans in America can also catch the band in the spring of 2026.
Since their formation in 2018, this band have continued to grow in success. Fans and critics alike praised NewDad’s debut album Madra, which they released in January 2024.
Altar, which is their latest album, cements NewDad as masters of moody indie shoegaze, drifting between aching vulnerability and soaring soundscapes.
