As Halloween comes creeping in, a great activity to get yourself in that spooky mood is Stirling’s Ghost Walk.

The walk is led by the ghost of the happy hangman John Rankin (played by actor and author David Kinnaird), as he takes you through the most haunting areas around the Old Town Jail.

The tour lasts just over an hour, and takes you from the Old Town Jail to Cowane’s Hospital. From there, you travel into the dark foggy graveyard of the Church of Holy Rude, while learning of spine-chilling tales of those who have been laid to rest there.

The walk is very interactive, as our happy hangman tells his historical tales of Stirling’s local ghosts. You may even get a chance to be his assistant to carry his staff and his torches!

Tickets are £8 for adults and £6 for children. The Ghost Walk takes place every Friday and Saturday at 8pm and 9:30pm.

If you are a fan of history or comedy or simply just looking for entertainment in Stirling this autumn, this ghost walk is perfect for you.
