The tour was originally meant for after the release of the new album however, delays were announced earlier on this year. Despite this, it didn’t stop the show from being an absolute party.

Jamiroquai took the stage at 8:35 pm after an energetic DJ set from Erick the Architect which got audiences ready to dance the night away.

All the way from Brooklyn, New York, Erick the Architect hit the stage at 7:30 pm with a DJ set that got audiences jumping as soon as it began. Even those all the way in the back were dancing along.

Those lucky enough to be in the pit even got a chance to catch some free merchandise that Erick threw to the excited audience.

The set was accompanied by visuals of his name and dancing silhouettes that was reminiscent of MTV in the 90s, a perfect way to get the audience ready for Jamiroquai.

Jamiroquai’s performance was one that had audience members of all ages getting up and dancing all night long. The entire band were brilliant and brought all that same energy and dance moves that was present during the Travelling Without Moving Era almost 30 years ago.

The backdrop changed with every song and transported audiences from sea to space, fitting perfectly with the vibe of each song.

There were many exciting outfit changes from frontman JayKay, with the famous hats associated with the band making appearances and lighting up the stage.

JayKay hyped up audiences further by starting the traditional ‘no Scotland no party’ chant. A chant that couldn’t be more fitting for a band like Jamiroquai playing in Glasgow.

Before preforming the band’s biggest hit, ‘Virtual Insanity’, JayKay took the time to comment on the current state of the world and dissatisfaction with the actions of world leaders. The emotive speech reflected on the themes of ‘Too Young To Die’ played previously. With both songs just as relevant to today’s political sphere as they were when they were first written.

The Setlist

Jamiroquai had a setlist full of all their best and most popular hits that audiences have adored since the beginning.

The band did change the songs for the live performance extending them further which was a great way to get the audience hyped up for every single song. It had the audience’s anticipation to get their groove on through the roof.

The band opened with ‘(Don’t) Give Hate a Chance’, a perfect opener that had the audience throughout the entire stadium instantly ready to dance.

The band also preformed a song from the new album coming out next year called ‘Shadow in the Night’. A song that fitted perfectly with the vibe of the setlist and shows great promise for the rest of the album.
