Focus on Scotland Film Festival

8The Focus on Scotland factual television festival will be held in the MacRobert Centre of Stirling University on October 22.

This national one day event will look a range of topics surrounding the filming community from looking into new routes that the factual film world may take, to exploring crucial issues the industry faces and examining developments in the field.

According to the Stirling University official webpage the event will feature a range of big names in the industry, as well as plenty of other events for professionals and novices alike.

“For professionals, the programme includes panel discussions and masterclasses featuring a range of leading commissioners and the indie community. The range of industry professionals attending the event it broad, hosting names from Danny Horan (Head of Factual, Channel 4), to Rosy Marshall McCrae (Head of Development, STV Productions.)

The free event will also host its first ever Focus on Factual film competition. An award ceremony for this is scheduled to take place during lunch time.
