Last month, at SLAY Glasgow, Brig interviewed one of Glasgow’s very own up-and-coming bands from the rock scene, Wishbone.
It consists of Martin on guitar and vocals, Nathaniel on guitar, Chris on bass and Ross on drums.
After an amazing setlist of all original songs, Brig sat down with Wishbone to find out more about their band.
Who started Wishbone?
“Nathaniel and James (former bandmate) created Wishbone with people in high school in 2020, I learned how to sing and started writing songs so we could finally start playing live,” said Martin.

What are your biggest achievements so far?
“I would say our very first gig in Nice N Sleazy Glasgow in 2022, but King Tuts was also really big for us too,” said Martin.
Nathaniel added: “I’d say our new EP was my personal biggest achievement so far.”
What are your hopes for the future?
“We’d definitely love to play in the Barras in Glasgow because its a much bigger venue space than what we’ve played so far,” Martin and Nathaniel said.
What artists and bands inspire Wishbone?
Martin said: “The Prodigy, The Beatles and The Smiths are definitely big inspirations of mine.”
Chris added: “ACDC, Billy Strings, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are probably some of the bands who inspire me.”
But why the name Wishbone?
“It’s probably the only name we didn’t hate and the only one we could all agree on,” the band said.
