Yellowjackets Stars And Fans Left Devastated As Creators Announce Season 4 As The Finale

2 mins read

The published statement on various social media platforms led to many questions and upset regarding the thriller TV show coming to an end. After an original five-season pitch, creators state that upcoming season four will bring the story to a “twisted conclusion”.

Announcement Response

This has caused a mixed reaction from fans of the Paramount+ show.

A minority of people say that it’s positive as creators are able to conclude the show the way they would like to. Without threat of it being cancelled or being unable for a season five renewal, like similar shows such as ‘The Wilds’. After alleged disappointment from season three, some fans were glad when hearing about the announcement and thought it was the perfect way to wrap up the show.

However, most are unhappy and worried for the success of the final season. With previous seasons one to three ending unanswered, it’s inevitable the tonnes of questions people have. How will it all be wrapped up in one more season? How many episodes will cover the rescue and post-rescue? Will there be episodes showing events between the teenage and adult timeline? All of these questions leave viewers disappointed as there’s a huge risk that the final conclusion will be messy.

Additionally, streamers of the show weren’t the only ones effected by the announcement. Sammi Hanratty, actress of character Misty Quigley, posted a TikTok of her reaction to finding out about the news.

In the short clip we see Hanratty in tears while taking in the news. Accordingly, she is devastated to only being able to play her beloved character Misty for one more season.
