Experimental rapper Danny Brown has been building up to his new album Stardust releasing November 7.
He released the first single ‘Starburst’ with a music video at the end of last month, followed by ‘Copycats’ featuring Underscores this week.
These singles appear to be a return to EDM as we saw in his 2013 album Old but with a more modern hyperpop take.
Artists featuring on the album are Quadeca, Femtanyl, Jane Remover, Frost Children, 8485, JOHNNASCUS, IssBrokie, Nnamdi, Ta Ukrainka and Zheani.
In anticipation for the album, Danny recently joined Frost Children for their Boiler Room set in Vancouver, performing their collaborative song ‘Shake It Like A’ together.
Danny has announced the North American Stardust tour with Underscores and Femtanyl starting November 10 this year. He is yet to announce a European or world tour.
Stardust will be his first release fully in sobriety, marking a new era for the rapper. It comes after the mellow Quaranta, which had been in production throughout his battle with addiction.
He confirmed earlier this year that he and rapper/producer JPEGMafia have started work on a follow-up to their collaborative album SCARING THE HOES, though he later told fans in a now deleted twitter post that the album will not be released any time soon.
You can pre-save Stardust now on all major streaming platforms alongside both singles.
