Balu Brigada ‘Portals’ to the UK

2 mins read

Indie-rock duo Balu Brigada will be making a stop in the Glasgow for their first world tour, following the release of their first album, Portal.

New Zealand brother duo Henry and Pierre Beasley first made a name for themselves with their hit ‘So Cold’. In the past few years, they’ve established themselves, in a move to New York, signing with Warner Music Australia and opening for Twenty-One Pilots on tour.

Now, in celebration of their first debut album, the brothers are headlining their own world tour, with four dates in the UK. Starting off with a performance in London, the duo will be coming up north to play at Queen Margaret Union in Glasgow on May 5.

Portal showcases the efforts from the brothers’ collaboration, with a unique sound that younger brother, Pierre, cemented with the creation of their signature beat. Taking inspiration from artists like The Strokes and The Police, the duo adds their own balance of gritty rock and dance music to their songs.

Paired with these sonic ingredients, their debut album also features a thrilling array of relatable coming-of-age songs. With a guaranteed transporting listening experience, all that remains is to see them perform on stage.

Tickets for the UK tour dates are almost entirely sold out, but more information about their latest release and future tour dates can be found on their website.
