Edinburgh Fringe: The Real Housewives of the Zombie Apocalypse ★★★★☆

2 mins read

If you ever wondered what would happen if reality TV stars had to survive a zombie outbreak this is the show for you. The Real Housewives of the Zombie Apocalypse is a camp and seriously entertaining show to see. The original musical from Clydebuilt Theatre brings the horrors of a zombie apocalypse and the comedy and out of touchness of housewives. This mix of themes makes out for a hilarious show.

The production throws the audience into a reunion show of the housewives so they can recap on their last season of the real housewives of wherever that may be. A staff member is infected and is carrying the zombie disease about. The host of the show is forcing the housewives to stay and make money. They all know they are being exploited but they are self aware. The drama has to continue. With brand deals and lies coming out the housewives stay to finish the show.

The humour is over the top. However, the cast have plenty of opportunity to show of their singing skills. From weddings to lawsuits everything is discussed just like a reunion show. Although one show is definitely funnier than the other. The end result of the show is this extremely funny and well thought out show.

The cast is lovely. The start of the show does involve some participation. And if you do not do it you may be called out in a funny way. For more information about the show and there social media click here:
